Valentine's Day: my FIRST ever!

So, I have the best fiancé ever! Weird and hilarious but best. So for Valentine's Mason planned a surprise.  Earlier that day he asked if I would be free at 5:30 and then he asked if I could bring a grungy t-shirt for the activity ... Weird? Yes! :)

So, at 5:30 he comes in and gives me the most beautiful pink roses.  They were the loveliest, most fragrant pink roses ever. (Blast my forgetfulness! I didn't take a picture). It was super cute because Mason pointed out that he brought me a bouquet that came with a cute vase because I didn't have one; whenever he would bring me flowers before I would have to put them in an old molasses bottle b/c I didn't have a vase.  What a thoughtful handsome man! :)

Then he said we would have to head out for dinner.  When asked where we would go he said he couldn't tell me but that it would be somewhere I could choose from variety of food.  (Buffet?)  He did say that it was pretty corny, I may be embarrassed, but it would be memorable. Well, after a few minutes we pulled up into the mall parking lot, outside the food court.  Whaaaaaaaaaaaa?

So, we go in, pick our food (Sbarro Pizza) and sit down.  When I sat down, Mason says "Time for decoration!!!"  He then whips out a box of conversation hearts and scatters them around the table and on our plates.  Then he pulls out two candles and:

Then we had a lovely dinner, enjoyed some hilarious looks, and laughed a TON!

Following dinner we went to his apartment and then painted shirts!  Mine had "M&M est. 05.14.11" and Mason's said "I <3 MO" (the I love NY style).  My camera died, though so I don't have pictures of that.  But it was a TON of fun and made me realize that Mas is truly my bestest friend and I can't wait to be married to him for time and all eternity.  It will be an eternity of laughs and jokes.

After such an enjoyable time of laughs and bliss T.O.M decided to hit full force. Yuck.  It was kinda painful, so Mason turned on LOST, let me lie down on the couch and pushed on my stomache to help with the cramps.  I'm telling ya, He's a keeper!

Happy Lovey Dovey day!

awwww, so stinkin' adorable! I love how your romantic evening ended with real life. This Valentines will mark every married Valentine's Day from here on out - you'll end up being pregnant and can't stand the smell of the restaurant he chose, or you waited too long to get a babysitter so you watch a chick flic after the kiddos have gone to bed and call it good, or you are just so content being home together that you spend the evening in eating heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches. Now THAT'S Valentines! :)

Yup, and it just made me love him more! I mean, not every guy would be willing to push on your stomache b/c you were birthing a cow! What romance ;)
